Brooklyn or NY style pizza is a thin crust pizza whereas Chicago style is more of a pie, a stuffed pizza. Chicago pizza is also, after the crust, built upside down with the cheese and toppings under the chunky fresh tomato sauce. °ΤΘΜ°

NY: very very thin and floppy crust (you fold it in half to eat it), usually rather greasy, standard crust/sauce/cheese arrangement, and the sauce is your usual pizza sauce (i.e. nothing weird in it like in Cincinnati, for example)

Chicago: very very thick, loaded with cheese and toppings, sometimes uses spiced tomatoes instead of sauce, and the sauce is usually on the top of the pizza. You usually use a knife and fork to eat it. icybicycle

I grew up in Chicago. Chicago pizza that we used to get was a very thin crust and crispy. They would cut it into squares. You could get the deep dish also but hardly anyone I knew did. hellonwheels89128
