Question about making pizza! I need help figuring out if anything is missing from this recipe?
I like this certain type of pizza but I want to make it at home. It has a little bit of sauce on the dough then you cover the sauce with slices of mozzerella cheese, and slices of tomatoe with either basil or spinache leaves on top. Am I missing anything on this pizza, am I supposed to add any oil or spices? Are the tomatoes supposed to be seasoned? Thanks

If you are making your own dough there should be some oil on the dought as you shape it. you may want to drizzle some balsomic viniger on the tomatoes and mozzarella. byron_oneil

No, just season with a little smoked sea salt and a drizzle of good extra virgin olive oil before you bake it. garstard
the sauce is called tomato puree or tomato paste go wild put both basil and spinach on the the rest is entirely up to you i think maybe some sweetcorn or/and some olives would be great i dont think people normaly put spices on and they surely dont put oil on good luck hope its finger licking good!! amani a
If you are using tomato sauce, not spaghetti or pizza sauce, add some oregano, sweet basil, and some garlic powder to it. Lightly salt the tomatoes, best if you use kosher salt but table salt will work. The recipe can have big leaves of basil, if so omit from sauce, or the spinach whichever you prefer. Enjoy! This is a plain but tasty pizza! sam
try some sun dried tomatoes in oil andy
You shouldn’t need to add oil, but you can add spices (like basil or oregano) if you like. zippythejessi
