How do you cook sausage to use as a pizza topping?
I know you are supposed to brown it, but how do you get it to stay in the little ball shape just like how places like Papa Johns and Pizza Hut do it?

When I use sausage, I buy sausage meat. It tends to stay in the little balls all by itself. As an alternative, you can buy sausages, split them and drop them into the fry pan in lumps/balls. They do try to stick together so be vigilant with the spatula!

You will never get it to stay in perfect ball shape unless you are willing to form it into tiny meatballs prior to cooking. In my opinion that is way too much work just for something that will be devoured in minutes. Just crumble and brown in a saute pan, drain the grease and sprinkle on top of your pizza. DawnanawnaBB
Just chop it up while it’s cooking, like you would with ground beef. The more you chop, the smaller the pieces will be. The pieces will never little round balls, but so what… it will still taste the same. Salt and Peppy
