Ok, so I need to find good hand tossed pizza in the Chicagoland area. Not deep dish but also not this paper thin pizza that everyone thinks is NY style. I’m talking the type where you can fold it in half, it looks like a pie wedge, and the grease just pours off. Any New York transplantees will hopefully know what I am talking about. Please help I am desperate and starving. No more Giordanos.

So yes to Connie’s Pizza, Home Run Inn, Lou Malanti’s, or etc.

He’s going there for some convention soon and I asked him to bring me and my daughter back a pizza. Any suggestions on some of the best places to go to? I’ve had Uno’s and Giordano’s in Orlando, so I’d like to have something local.. not a chain. He saw a place where a bunch of cabbies own the place. Not sure what it’s called though. Hi Wise Guy.. I wish I could go.. but I have a daughter that’s still in school. I don’t have any other relatives around who could watch her.. my parents are out west and my sister works. One year I’ll make it!!

I know the question comes to debit, of who makes the best pizza in Chicago. But which one of all the restaurants makes your favorite pizza, and why does that restaurant make your favorite out of all the pizza restaurants in Chicago. And not all of them, makes them, or cuts them the same way. Like say Connie’s pizza, they are cut in triangles. And the big sized pizzas at Home Run Inn are more thin and crispy. And then you have Lou Malnati’s, that makes their pizza by putting the sauce on top of the pizza.

I’m planning a trip with some family and wanted to know some good pizza places in Chicago; any suggestions would be helpful as well as what kind of pizza to get.
